Frequently Asked Questions
Everything parents need to know before signing up. Straight answers, no runaround.
What ages can participate?
Current South Bay Sports Camps programs serve athletes ages 3–12. The 3–5 Parent/Child clinics require a participating parent or guardian on the court. All other programs run independently for the child.
What if my child has never played basketball before?
Absolutely welcome. The Coed Clinics and All-Girls Clinics are designed with beginners in mind. Coaches focus on fundamentals, positive reinforcement, and making the sport fun. Select "Beginner" in the finder to see the best-fit sessions.
What is the Skills Academy, and is my child ready for it?
Skills Academy is a higher-intensity program for experienced players when sessions are offered. There are no current Fall 2026 Skills Academy sessions available; check back for the next schedule.
How are players grouped during sessions?
Players are grouped by both age and skill level. Our coaching team evaluates each player and places them where they'll be challenged and have the most fun. If an 8-year-old plays at a 12-year-old's level, they'll be grouped up accordingly. If an older player is still developing fundamentals, they'll be grouped where they'll thrive. The goal is always the most positive, fun environment for every child on the court.
Can parents watch?
Yes. Parents and family members are welcome to observe from the sidelines. The 3–5 Parent/Child clinics require a parent on the court as an active participant alongside their child.
What should my child bring?
Comfortable athletic clothing, basketball shoes (non-marking soles preferred for gym floors), and a water bottle. All basketballs and equipment are provided. Do not bring valuables.
Are there any no-class dates I should know about?
Yes. A small number of sessions have exceptions on specific dates. Each session card in the clinic finder notes its specific no-class dates.
What is the cancellation and refund policy?
A full refund, minus a non-refundable $35 registration fee, is available when written cancellation is received at least 10 days before the clinic start date. Cancellations received fewer than 10 days before the start date are not eligible for a refund. All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to camps@norcalsportstv.com.
How do I register?
Registration is now open! Use the clinic finder below to select your preferred session, then click the "Register Now" button to complete enrollment directly through SportsEngine.
Can I sign up multiple children at once?
Each child must be registered separately. Simply complete the registration for your first child, then go back through the flow and register your second child the same way. No account is required, so there's nothing to log into between registrations. Contact us at camps@norcalsportstv.com if you need any help.
Who do I contact if I have a question not answered here?
Email us at camps@norcalsportstv.com or call 888-350-4070. We will get back to you as soon as possible.
